Making words work

My first jobs were in book publishing, where I nurtured a lifelong love of books, writing, and learning. I caught a break when I was paired with a skilled UX designer on a project, who very patiently introduced me to UX.

I read everything I could find on UX design, research, and writing, then completed a UX design bootcamp. I was fortunate to start my UX career as part of wonderful product content teams at Fidelity and VMWare Carbon Black.

Now I'm a Lead Content Designer at Cisco Security. What motivates me is to advocate for clarity and simplicity in complex, ever-evolving spaces.

I live with my family in Ann Arbor, MI.
